SUMMARY:The Midwest Yoga & Oneness Festival
DESCRIPTION:Jeff Masters will be a featured presenter for the the Midwest Yoga & Oneness Festival (formerly the Dubuque Yoga & Oneness Festival). The amazing offerings this year have expanded upon the transformational yoga-related information to include even more non-yoga offerings based on the expansion of consciousness\, spirituality and Oneness. \nDon’t miss this opportunity to invest in yourself\, sign up now\, unplug and recharge at the MYAOF! \nSee you there! \n\nFriday\, May 4th\n \n9:30 – 12:00 / 12:00 – 1:30 LUNCH / 1:30 – 4:00PM \n5-Steps To A Radiant Practice Intensive\n \nJoin Jeff Masters and take the first steps toward not only a radiant practice\, but also a radiant life! \nJeff Masters is pleased to be able to offer this intensive exploration and implementation of the 5-Steps To A Radiant Practice (adapted from his upcoming book\, ‘The 5-Steps To A Radiant Life!’) at the Yoga Experience in Flagstaff\, Arizona. During this experiential intensive\, participants will have the opportunity to take a practice which may have become rote or disempowered and re-invigorate it with awareness and sacred tools for activation and direct realization. \n  \nSaturday\, May 5th\n \n11:30 – 1:00PM\nMatri Bhāvana: A Spiritual Practice\nMaitri is translated as “the essence of friendship” and Bhāvana “cultivation\, mental creation.” Together they indicate the creation of an atmosphere of friendship and good will toward all. However\, the deeper lesson of Maitri Bhāvana is that it begins within. \n2:30 – 4:30pm\nYoga & the Energetics of Trauma\nIt’s common knowledge that stress and trauma are triggers for the fight-or-flight response. What are less well known are the wide-ranging\, subtle effects to our bio-energetic system (Trauma Energetics) prior to and when faced with these same experiences. Join Jeff Masters for an in-depth exploration into how trauma moves from the subtle body into the physical to become embedded samskaras that color our awareness and powerfully influence our interaction with the world. \n\nSunday\, May 6th \n8:30 – 10:00AM\nJourney into the Lotus of the Heart \nThe sages teach that meditation on the Lotus of the Heart can bring about the experience of inner healing and joyfulness (vishoka) as well as a state of inner luminosity (jyotismati). With our awareness centered in the Lotus of the Heart we experience fulfillment (bhoga) and ultimate freedom (apavarga). \nDuring this\, the apex of Jeff’s sessions\, participants will be led through a transformative\, heart-centered practice incorporating asana\, pranayama\, kriya and finally a guided journey deep into the abode of the soul. \nBy journeying into the depths of our own hearts we access a state of consciousness in which the individual soul and the divine are united in a common being – the epitome of Oneness. See you there! \n  \nAbout The Midwest Yoga & Oneness Festival\nThis is the fourth annual Midwest Yoga & Oneness Festival! At this festival the focus is creating an inspiring\, fun\, transformative and soulful experience across all four pillars of their festival experience. They begin building sangha (safe\, sacred community) on Friday night\, cultivate it’s expansion on Saturday and Sunday morning\, then bring it to a powerful close early Sunday afternoon with the closing ceremony.

SUMMARY:Dubuque Yoga & Oneness Festival 2017
DESCRIPTION:Join Jeff Masters for what promises to be a great time at the Dubuque Yoga Festival in April! \nJeff will be offering four of his most popular workshops to attendees including: \n  \nSaturday April 29\n8:30 AM to 10:30 AM – Samskaric Archeology & Alchemy: The Foundation\nSamskaras are powerful forces that influence the shape and color of our perception of reality.  In this class we will explore the capacity our body has to perceive\, receive\, carry and store Samskaras and how these impressions are embedded at multiple levels within the different Kosas.  We will also cover the use of Yoga to process these deeply held impressions. \nWe will explore current research supporting the physical correlates of the various Kosa that allow for Samskaric transference and be introduced to Samskaric Archeology & Alchemy practices for engaging each sheath to become aware of\, process and ultimately release these deeply held patterns. \n  \n11:00 AM to 12:30 PM – Mantra: The Sacred Geometry of Sound\nThe science of mantra is literally the science of ‘freeing the mind’ from the distractions of the external world and internal fluctuations of our thoughts. \nDuring this experiential class we will delve deep into the study of how sound impacts the mind\, how it can affect the very structure of tissues and its’ influence on the cascade of our emotions components that govern our overall health and wellness. \nWe will also explore the consciousness expanding nature of mantra as it applies to the esoteric practices of Tantra Yoga. \n  \n2:00 PM to  4:00 PM – Yoga and the Psychobiology of Stress\nStress and trauma are vast subjects with many facets and aspects of study.   Similarly\, the system of Yoga\,  ancient  and  as  deep  as  the  wells  of  time  and  space\,  consists  of  many  disciplines  and  “tools” that can be tapped to assist us in our everyday lives.  At the root of Sri Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga is  the  concept  of  Samskaras\,  latent  impressions  that  impact  our  consciousness  and\,  to  a  greater extent\, our lives. \nDuring  this  two-day  class\,  participants  will  explore  the  history  of  stress\,  the  trauma  experience\,  the physiology  behind  the  roots  of  the  trauma  experience\,  it’s  connection  to  the  Yogic  concept  of Samskaras\,  current  research  and  neuroscience  behind  the  healing  aspects  of  Yoga\,  and  simple practices which can be taken back to support their practice and their community at large. \nThis course re-enforces common Yogic terminology\, philosophy\, and practices while bringing ancient practices into the light of current scientific research and discoveries. \n  \nSunday April 30\n8:30 AM to 10:00 AM – An Introduction to Samkhya Yoga\nMany who study Yoga may have not heard of the Samkhya philosophy.  Samkhya is the life blood that runs through the practice of Yoga and the art and science of Yoga is the practical manifestation of the Sāṁkhya Philosophy.  It is through this practice that students are able to embody the states of mind and body elucidated in the Yoga Sutras of Sri Pantanjali. \n  \nAbout The Dubuque Yoga Festival\nThis is the third annual Dubuque Yoga Festival! \nDon’t miss this opportunity to invest in yourself\, sign up now\, unplug and recharge at the DYF!
